Great Day at GACS!
What a great trip to Norcross, GA for the Greater Atlanta Christian School Math Tournament! There were 41 math teamers and 13 chaperones on the bus as well as 11 other parents that made the trip with us. So nice to have our parents (24, wow) with us. It was a fun trip all the way around, from the breakfast at Cracker Barrell to the Malibu Grand Prix and the trips to the Mall of Georgia and Discover Mills. All the kids seemed to have a great time together. The Hyatt Place was very nice and our bus driver, Mr. Ken, was just fantastic. He was really bragging on our group and wants to drive us over next year. We were in his Top 5 trips since 1993. Pretty good, huh?
Congratulations to Peyton Blair and Tucker Franey for their first trophies of the year. You all did just a super job. We will take off the next two weeks to rest up and FINISH STRONG at Berry Middle School on April 14. We'll leave at 6 am, eat breakfast, test and cipher, go to the Galleria for lunch and then back for awards. Let's make it a terrific finale.
Practice starts back on March 27 for 8th grade and March 29 for 7th grade. If you had breakfast those days we are not coming from March 12 - 23 you can still bring something to class if you want to. Or you do not have to bring at all. It is up to you.
