8th Grade Math Team - 1st at Albertville

Today was an impressive day for the 8th graders, winning ciphering 64-40 and taking the first  9  spots individually.

Ann Carol, Carter, Mitchell and Katie did an outstanding job ciphering.  Most of the team had their best test score.  Congrats to Charity for getting her first trophy of the year.

I was most proud of the good comments we got from the servers at Santa Fe.  They bragged and bragged on the politeness of our team.  Good manners and good sportsmanship go a long way in how others perceive our team.  Thanks to the 8th graders for representing us well.

7th and 8th Math Teams Take FIRST PLACE at Pizitz

Wow!  What an outstanding day for the Cullman Middle School math teams at Pizitz today.  We took home the FIRST place team trophies, won the ciphering competition in both divisions and claimed 13 of the 20 individual trophies.   We DID take home some hardware!

Thanks to the many, many parents who came to support us in ciphering and awards and to the math team moms for riding to the mall with us.  What a fun day.  Lots of bargains and good conversation.

Thanks for Mrs. Ponder and Mrs. Bowen for the nice goody bags!  We enjoyed them on the way down and back from the tournament.

Congrats to Colby and Trevor for their first trophies.  I have a feeling that there are many more to come for both teams if we continue to work hard EVERY day.

Ann Carol, Jake, Mitchell and Katie won the 8th ciphering for us with 50 points (4th overall).  The 7th grade team of Mallory, Fletcher, Nik and Jordan won the 7th grade ciphering with 39 points (10th overall).
